The Emory House was built in 1954 by Dr. and Mrs. R.L. Hillman, M.D. He designed the house so as to be able to treat his patients in the west end of the house. Dr. Hillman was a native to SW Virginia and served the community of Emory and surrounding townships, as well as serving as physician to the college.

All guest rooms have luxurious queen beds, private baths, televisions, desks and comfortable seating. The parlor is especially inviting for relaxing and reading, et cetera.
